I've seen many of those ... in fact the minimum asking $ appears to be that 6g. Sadly I wont be buying any of it ... in fact sometimes I'll call them and ask them about if they have all the original parts in good condition so I can swap it back ...

Seriously I think the "Bobber" not just in the savage, but also in the XS650's, the KZ440's, the cb450's the xs650's ... all so done ... so over over over over done. Yawn.

Cool.

I understand a shifter for the left hand. I don't think I understand a shifter for the right hand. It is interesting though, and yes, it appears to be very nice work.

I found those in Google image search. The bike was built by 625 customs https://www.facebook.com/pages/625-Customs/160943270646293?ref=ts&fref=ts

$2,000 bike and a $4,500 shifter? Unless he bought a Harley just for the tank and is trying to recoup his costs.

I see it now. Even though it isn't there, I was thinking clutch lever on the shifter.

No a shifter for your left hand you will never be able to shift unless you had a foot clutch ... which effectively negates the whole concept.

With a left handed clutch @ the handlebar, you can shift with your right hand so a right side shifter is useable ... however, on a savage with that idiotic steering offset, in slow speeds you wont be able to hold onto the bar operate the clutch and shift ...

Before you modify anything like this on this bike, you need to get that steering lightened up. That bike will be unrideable in traffic ... You need to be freaking schwartznegger to get it through 1 mile of traffic.

Cool.

Srinath, I was assuming a clutch lever on the shifter. In that scenario, shifting with a left handed shifter works fine. For whatever reason, I thought there was one on the right handed shifter. I can see there is none, but my mind refused to believe it.

If you take your right hand off the throttle to shift, what holds the throttle open?

A lot of shifting happens on shut throttle under normal riding, except we do it so quick being experienced riders, I guess you'd have to deal with the rpm's dropping to idle and then revving it back to match the load.

Cool.
