Normal, in that kind of weather, is to start with the choke on the second notch. After ten seconds or so, you should be able to go in to the first notch. Leave it there for the first mile or two. You may have to hold the idle up for another mile or two after that. If it still won't idle, you may have to set the idle speed up. After that, you've got a problem, and it's time to ask the experts.
And look at the bright side....you're having a heat wave! It was 6 degrees last night when I started mine to charge the battery and take it for a short ride.
