Old 'n Slow, those tachs are generic. I got one from Catalyst Cycles in Tennessee, made in Taiwan and not expensive. Catalyst Cycles sell on EBAY. They were a little cheaper than JP Cycles. The tachs operate off the spark plug and will flick round to max revs when you turn on the ignition, settling down as sdoon as the engine starts. I just wish I'd got a white dial black numeral one.

Qwapy,
I'm probably breaking the rules here 'cause I'm changing the topic of this thread, but I'd like to know more about that tach. Where did you get it, and how is it driven ?

Got mine here:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/S40-SAVAGE-S50-VS800-VS750-S83-VS1400-MINI-TACHOMETER...

Paid $94.95 for it but, you can find a better price if you shop around a bit.
It is an easy fix (mount) it come with the instructions, easy to follow.
