Ya toes it was w fun repair still cant believe how easy it was. From here on in its mods that I want for me. Instead of repairs to make it run. Now I need plates and Sarasota tells me it 500 dollars to transfer and plate the bike. Thats what I paid for it. O well good thing tax time is here. Im ready for a beach ride. Cant wait.

$500, does that incluse tax? I know some places tax on blue book value regardless of what you paid for it, find out if that is the case or if you are taxed on what you paid. If it is taxed on what you paid get a notorized bill of sale from the prior owner and save yourself some $   Wink

Turn on key, turn on gas (raptor petcock, if you have the stock petcock then skip that step), pull the fuel enrichener knob to the first click, pull in clutch, <shift into neutral> hit starter button.  Let idle for about a minute, hop on, ride off.  Depending on how cold it is I might leave the enrichener for a couple of minutes, but usually push it back in before I take off.

I'm curious what the POs recommended technique is...  Smiley

P/O had all the steps right but he had told me that i have to pump gas twice. i was worried about flooding it. and to me that jsut didint sound right. thank you VERY much for the break down, thats why i love this site.
