Since Washington and Colorado legalized the recerational use of pot in November, in defiance of federal law, how can we get this whole subject re-visited on the national level?

Perhaps many of you don't know it, but until the Prohibition movement gathered steam in the early 1900s, as more and more states went dry, Congress had to enact the first permanent income tax in 1913. Prior to that, the liquor tax funded the entire Federal budget, except for a few minor taxes that didn't affect the average person.

We had a temporoary incvome tax during the Civil War to finance the war, but it expired when the war ended.

Think what a national pot tax would do for the deficit.

That's additional revenue, and reduced government...

It IS a Bank & it Loans $$$ to America. They had to create a mechanism by which they could get paid the interest on that loan,, Your income taxes dont go to run the nation, they go to pay the feds interest.

People dont get high and think hey lets go rob a bank.........unless there are twinkies inside.

For any who dont understand, & that would be all who disagree, read Creature from Jekyll Island. It will change your world view. Your reality will change. Youll never see the world thru the same eyes again,.
AND, it reads like a murder mystery. Its not dry & boring, its a fun read.
I hated having to lay it down to go do the things life demands we do.,
I couldnt wait to get back to it & read more.
Its inexpensive & a book to cherish. I hope I get mine back some day,
