They are from the factory, but I've never seen one on the road that the speedo light worked Shocked

Since you will have to remove the tank to replace the bulb be careful how you route the speedo cable when you replace the tank.

They are easy to replace, just pull the tank and from the back of the speedometer pull the cover where the bulb goes in. I pulled the old one out and got a new one from O'Riley auto parts. I was able to get a replacemt bulb and installed it back without any issues, everything works fine. My 1995 has all the backlight lights ont he speedometer working fine.

Better go rub my rabbit foot and knock on some wood...

Reply #9 - 12/30/12 at 17:21:25 As I stated above my speedo light is out,all the indicator lights work. I've been reluctant to pull the tank due to the clearance issue with the vac-sucker petcock. Figure when I do go there I'll set up a series of resistors and LED bulb and that should last the life of the bike.

All the indicator lights work fine, it is just not backlit. But since I have to fully pull the tank, I am going to replace the petcock while I am at it. Anyone know who has Raptor Petcocks cheap?

Brand new, $23.50 Pulling the tank is easy if you remove the vac-sucker before pulling it off the frame. Can't have clearance issues if the petcock isn't there.
