Help Identifying Leftover Part
12/18/12 at 16:46:15

I just finished buttoning up the bike after rejetting the carb and installing a K&N drop in filter in the stock airbox. I found this rubber piece on the floor toward the front of the bike. I removed the seat, tank, both side covers, battery and battery box, air filter cover, carb, right side chrome head accent, and disconnedted the vent hose at the head in order to get the carb out and reinstalled. Someone hit me with a big stick if I ever want to do it again. The bike is a 2007. Any help will be appreciated.

Good hunting

It could be the little rubber bumper from under the chrome piece on the right side ......top of the cylinder.

Thanks Dave. That is probably what it is. I looked at the on-line microfiche and it shows a "Bumper Head Cover" under the right chrome head piece.

Thanks again

I'm glad everyone leaves work during lunch because I can't believe how loud I just laughed at that.
