It is 20- 3/4" from the axle to the bottom of the lower triple clamp, and 30-5/8" to the top of the upper triple clamp.

Someday I will be old......But not today!

OK, which springer front end should be ordered?

I have been considering a springer front end, but am very unsure which is the right one.

Consider that I would have to ship it overseas and pay customs excise on it before I can even unwrap it !

I cannot afford to order the wrong one... Undecided

I was going to tell you that yesterday and got sidetracked.A 19" is very different than a 21".I measured the 19 on my Savage and the 21 on my Harley and there is roughly 2.5" difference.
Get the ride heighth set up to where you want it and measure where the axle will be.Check that height against tire diameters.

I want to put a springer on mine,but I'm going to set it up to keep all the Savage parts.

Posts: 154	Re: need to know what stock fork length is Reply #6 - 12/24/12 at 06:21:50 Thanks for the info Denim. i pulled the trigger on a 2 under dna set up. wound up snagging up on a 21" front wheel and tire along with a rotor and dna brake caliper for a decent price. will be posting pics soon
