My front brakes are garbage
12/15/12 at 16:29:01
My front brakes are worthless. I don't think it's just the pads, I replaced them a couple months ago. It's not a big deal when I slow for a stop, I'll use a mix of front and back. The problem is when I just creep forward a bit (a car pulls forward at a light), my front brakes aren't strong enough to stop the bike without me wobbling it like a fool. It sucks to have to bring one foot up to use the back brake to stop the bike. Do I just suck or does anyone else have this? Anyone have suggestions for better brake pads? I keep my back pretty tight. I see people on other bikes squeeze the front and really stop dead...

Yup,.. you suck...
...
No,.... if they aren't gripping right, (especially just holding at a light), and the pads are still good,... they probably need to be bled...
Wobbling,.... that's all you... brakes don't fix or cause wobble...
...
... or, perhaps your terminology is not clear... define... wobble...

Pads that grab and don't let go? EBC (106x if I remember right) and Emgo. There are three different pad thicknesses available on the same backing plate, you need the middle thickness.
My front brake has always been pretty much decorative. Rotor was not tempered correctly, the pads just slide on it. Pop your caliper off and sand the rotor with some 100 grit paper, just enough to give it a faint cross hatching. Wipe it down with some Brakleen or electrical contact cleaner. Do the same thing to the pad surfaces. Re-install and go for a ride. Bet it works better.
And check your brake fluid level by popping the cap off the master cylinder. Don't trust the little window, trapped air can make the fluid bubble up on the glass and give you a false reading. If you need to rebleed the brake, use a MityVac or similar kit, bleeding it out with the squeeze the lever, crack open the valve, close the valve, repeat doesn't always do the trick on motorcycles.

When was the last time the fluid was replaced? It can collect moisture, and become spongy. What condition is the rubber line in?

I use speed bleeders on both my bikes fast and cheaper then a mighty vac.
How many miles you got on the rotor?

perhaps I agree with you, guys...most likely, the air bubble hit the brakes and you just need to normal bleed it .
and I have a slightly different problem... I've decided to change the rubber O-rings on the front caliper and after replacing faced with such a nuisance...
in General, with the application of front brake wheel very good blocked, and then it remains blocked....brake fluid is fresh, pads - as is still the norm, brake disc, too. the level of brake fluid true low-in the lower limit...what could be the reason? that will tell?
