removal of airbox and battery tray ideas.

Hey guys, This is my first post and ive searched a bit through the forum but couldnt really find what i was looking for.
I have a 97 ls650 and have removed the airbox with the intention of cleaning up electrical and adding a pod filter. I was wondering what some of you guys did with your battery tray and what filters you were running. i know the air tract has to stay the same length but i would like to add a pod filter and that tray is in way. was thinking of cutting it down.
any thoughts?

I would say alot depends on your skills and the tools/resources at your disposal. Do you have a certain look in mind that you are going for? I've seen a few different set ups from people on the forums from simple to totally custom, I'm sure some of them will chime in eventually and get some pics/posts linked for you
And WELCOME to the forums!!!!

I made a basic box for my battery and put all the electrics on the fender.I think I used an Emgo filter on mine.
