I noticed yesterday that when my bike is not running I can move the belt front to back some(maybe a 1/4").I'm just wondering if this is normal or do i need to check this out.My bike is a 2012 model with 6000 miles on it.Yep sure do like to ride it.Thanks

Are you saying you can spin the rear sprocket a few degrees without the rear wheel moving?

Yea I guess that would  have been a better way for me to sayit. Both sprokets move though.I've never had a belt driven bike before,so I have nothing to compare it to.

1/4" is pretty loose, even for the back.

... but,.. the rear sprocket is not directly mounted to the wheel,.. (there's a rubber cushion thingy in between),.. so it will have a little slop...
I doubt you have a problem at 6k... I have 30k... Wink...

I do not know on Aida's Savage, but on My Marauder, I have no visible slop in the cush drive.  Nor on any other bike I have owned.  (I guess I need to spend more time wrenching on her bike...)

For those that need a visual, they look like this.  http://www.cincinnatisuperbikes.com/Suzuki-Heavy-Duty-Cush-Drive-Sets-p/cush.htm
