I'm tempted to say that GW is bizarre!  In all honesty tho, sometimes I will say that and my son (28) will respond with "are you kidding Dad, that is so cool".   It makes me wonder if I am out of touch...  ummm, kinda like my Dad was?   We still agree tho, that a "Cobra style" 1950 Mercury is badassed - oh yeah!

Serowbot I think you would need a very steep downhill driveway or a huge slingshot to get that barge moving with a metro 3 banger   Grin

Can't WAIT to see that new CB500F up close and personal!! If it's anything like the ABS equipped CBR250R demo Bike we have on loan at our local MTP, then Honda is gonna have a trio of winners with their new 500cc line-up! Long over-due in this displacement category if you ask me!

ABS on a 250? You gotta be one horrible rider if you need ABS on a 250.

TRaction is traction, the lack thereof is dangerous for everyone, small bikes are considered starter bikes by many, 250 could equate to novice,,

I maintain the beginner needs the best tools, regardless of the job, the experienced can manage with less.

I believe ABS and linked brakes should be MANDATORY on all motorcycles and scooters, regardless of displacement. The reason is simple - motorcycles fall down when riders make mistakes and lock wheels. That should not be possible, and the technology exists to prevent it. In particular, when riders panic and stomp the brake pedal, exactly as they do in their cars, the machine should apply full braking power on both wheels, with ABS. If our illustrious Government can mandate electronic stability control on all cars and light trucks (which they have done) they can equally well mandate ABS and combined braking on motorcycles.
