Like 5 have said they bought them, they never said much after that so one ASSuMe's that things did OK or they would have said something.

Yeah, I bought one of those $16 deals. After I got the wrong-side connection figured out, it works fine. I might be getting rid of it soon though b/c I'm switching tanks.

 
When you read the Chinglish and you find you cannot decide which way the nipple points and the picture carefully does not show the nipple orientation, then be suspicious that they are mebbe dumping off stocks of forward pointing nipples.

You would think it can be avoided by reading carefully, but when it happens to you you can simply use a slightly longer hose and make a generous bend up under the tank (don't want the hose to pinch itself off) and nobody will know it wasn't on purpose but you.

The ones that piss me off are the vendors that show a pic that is correct and the Chinglish seems right but the petcock comes in with the nipple on the wrong side.   The vendor knows you won't try to send it back (shipping costs too much) so the best you can do is protest to Ebay and get your money back and insist that the vendor pay for the shipping if he wants the petcock back.

Generally you get your money back and you get to keep the petcock, and the vendor learns "right" from "left" as viewed from the face of the petcock.

Most folks just go with the slightly longer hose as it is less trouble than hassling with Ebay.
