Paul, I'm in NZ as well. What side will Land Transport NZ, or Ministry of Offence Creation, call them what you will allow the tail light, number plate light. I am far from techo but most vertical plate mountings I've seen seem to be on the right of the bike.

Paul, just wondering whether you will have speedo issues with the new tyre. Is the od similar to what was on the original wheel?

I notice you haven't posted a single picture directly from the back - they're always slightly to the side. That wouldn't be because you're trying to hide the fact that your rear tire is no longer on center with the bike, would it?

I am happy to take a photo from the back. the tyre is perfectly centre thanks. I bet your dying to know how I did it.

Obviously you forgot that you sent me a PM saying you were just going to make new spacers and shift the wheel over and I said that you needed to say no more because I would never do anything that sketchy on my bike. Would you like me to quote them and post them here?

Not too tight. Here are some close up photos

http://suzukisavage.com/yabb2.2/Attachments/001_011.jpg

My 150/90-15 tire was that close, and when I rode faster than 60mph, centrifugal force expanded the tire enough to cause it to rub.  As close as your tire is to the swingarm in front and the rear fender, be careful the first few times you ride it.

And obviously you have forgotten I replied to that message and said I was pulling your leg.Yes I would like you to post them, But make sure you post them all.
Whats wrong with you  why must you continue to post such nasty comments.Your worse than my wife. Are you a woman? As you can clearly see I have mounted the wheel central and have the original spacers, It is a 170 on a new rim. It cost me a arm and a leg to do it. If you want to know just ask. I have road tested the tyre at high speed and its all good.

Pulling my leg? You were dead serious and it's 100% apparent in your pictures that the rear wheel is shifted to the left by what appears to be at least an inch. The wheel isn't supposed to be centered in the swing-arm, it's supposed to be centered in the bike.

You can call me an old fart, a woman or whatever other terms you wish but it doesn't change the fact that you have seriously altered the handling of your bike. If someone else wants to try something as stupid as this, may god have mercy on all of your souls.

OK it's probably more like 1/2" but all that matters is it's offset and a 170 doesn't fit. It's abundantly clear that you shouldn't be giving advice on modifying motorcycles let alone judging anyone else.

For god's or someones sake, lets not have another international incident. Marshall never advised anyone on this mod. He simply showed it and if it does go wrong, he can accept the consequences.
