Weird throttle response..
10/19/12 at 17:47:07

At WOT in 4th gear from midrange in the powerband, the bike begins to accelerate, then the engine revs higher than it seems it should for the relative speed, almost like something is slipping and the power isn't making it to the wheel. Aside from that the bike runs pretty darn well. Do I need more than the a 150 main jet? Or is something else amis?

If rpm's increase, and the bike don't,.. it ain't jets.. or anything carb or fuel related...
That is clutch slip...  Check that your clutch cable is adjusted properly and lubed... not frayed or catching internally... also that it is routed smoothly, with no sharp turns or bends that could cause binding...
... if it ain't that... you're going in... clutch plates...

PS.. you aren't using a car oil with friction modifiers... are you?... That's a no-no...

I had similar issues with a 2004 starting at about 12,000 miles. They went away after I switched to a raptor petcock.
Another place that you might look is in the enrichment circuit on the right side of the carb. The diaphram tends to get funky due to the crappy gas we are forced to burn. You can remove, clean and replace it in about five minutes. Dont strip the screws...and replace them with stainless.

Clutch plates! 😔

What am I expecting? Is there a rebuild kit out there I should invest in?
I had plans to pull the covers to paint them so meh.. Why not rebuild a clutch.

The cable is new and adjusted, and I'm runnin the T6 with zddp booster

How much ZDDP boostin you doin? Have you read the contents of that booster?

Regardless..

I would
Get a very clean catch pan, clean around the drain plug, dump the oil. REaplace it with PLaino Rotella 15/40. Id leave the filter. Ride it & see if its different.,if its different but not back to normal, dump it again,
YOu will be able to use the oil youve dumped, just not all at the same time.
