the ryca would be easy and it looks quality but i found this pick of the rearsets in action and it's just not the stance I'm looking for:

older I get the more standard bike ergos I crave
This guy has it sorted but I can't find out who the bike belongs to:

If you examine the photos closely, you'll see the footpeg is about in the same spot in both pics. Note the position of the footpeg relative to the bottom of the outer part of the engine case -- the position is about the same in both pics. Note the position of the brake lever,.. it is actually higher in the second pic than the first.
The first pic might be a little misleading because of the angle of the shot.
I am 6'3" and I find the standard RYCA position for these foot controls to be fine for what this bike is supposed to do. It is not a GoldWing. I haven't been out for more than about an hour on the thing, and my feet, legs, and butt were fine. Three hours would be too many.
The main "comfort" problem I have with the RYCA setup is the clip ons. My big ol' head, and long skinny 65 y.o. neck get pretty uncomfortable leaning that far forward with all that and the rest of the upper body being supported by the wrists and hands. If I can keep up the speed to 50 or more, it is not so noticeable because of the breeze pushing back. Getting back in to traffic is fatiguing.

Hope this works. This shows my right and left with stock controls moved back on a Ryca-style bracket that I built. ~Carl

Carl that is perfect - just what I wanted to do and just needed a heads up that it was possible and not a wild goose chase

The new position is fine on my bike. I changed the seat and bars for an upright riding position. I just finished it and hope to have some pictures up soon. Carl

Irondad moved his STOCK foot controls to mid bike using a homemade plate...........in 2012! I'd LOVE to know if this is something I could do- or have made locally? HELP!

Does anyone remember Irondads post about making some plates to move the STOCK foot controls back to the conventional location? HOPING there is a detailed thread here, just need someone to point me to it!
