Back to the debates, Obama clearly stomped ole Mitts butt tonight..

Lets say thats 100% true,,,So,, what does that mean? Give Bammy 4 more years & we will no longer be deeply in debt, involved in wars for no real reason, our rights will be restored, & our people will be employed again &* our trade deficit will be zero?

They BOTH SUCK,,

Round 2 proved that Obama is still in the game and no longer playing by mitts lyin rules...several points last night ol mitt got em handed to him Obama was the clear winner a came across as a sure strong steady leader looking out for the middle class and Vets the poor, women and the best interest of the country long term. I liked it!

Now we can watch the polls start turning back to Obama Biden 2012

Oh no no no if Obama is back for 4 more years, we will still be in debt. Lots more in debt. However if the Pug's get out of the way We may have a few better roads and bridges, and the rich will be less rich ... cos you see the rich dont need roads, they just fly over them. So yes debt, and broke, but with better roads and schools with Obama or richer rich people with Ryan-Romney.

Cool.

Im not Certain which will bring us to our knees more quickly. I think Maybe its Obama, based on his record. Im hearing rumblings about gun bans, semi auto anything & everything? Anyone else hearing that? Im Tired of watching America in a spiraling descent. I want one of 2 things. Either policy changes that positively affect the direction of the country, economically & morally, Our global militarism is immoral, our use of DU, destroying populations thru children being mutated by the radioactivity, cancer levels exploding,, what we are doing is EVIL & needs to stop.
So, since I KNOW neither one will turn the ship of state away from the course we are on, I am gonna cheer as we crash into the rocks. Ill be happy whoever gets the job, but I Think Ill giggle out loud if its Obama, BUT, I DO Not think he will, because he Seriously upset the globalists when he shut that pipeline down.,I dont think the machines will count his votes right, even IF the people vote for him,
And, couple that with all the death threats Romney is getting & the potential for a race war, which would give the elite what they really want, a reason to declare martial law, Im predicting a Romney win,

Moving an economy from near disaster, weakening middle class, pure capitalist, and boom/bust deregulation, to a stronger middle class, social balance, and regulating for stability takes more than one man. I do hope Obama gets in, but it will take a majority, and a will by that majority and progressive thought, to put this nation on track for steady growth.. I would much rather see steady slow growth, than boom, and busts.. The next bust we see will be all out depression, we won't see anymore lines for Iphones, the lines will be for bread and soup...

That pipeline was a forced hand, it was in the works, pipeline approval is NOT a six month process, sometimes it takes years, pipeline right of way ROW may take many years to achieve, and enviromental can take even longer.. Congress majority forced the hand by the President.. The pipeline in question would be carrying some of the nastiest crude known to man, existing pipelines carrying these oil sand crudes have a very shakey safety record.. Plus the product slated for this pipeline was not for OUR market, it was to be refined by our refinerys, and slated for sale overseas, mainly China... So we take all the risks and the pollution (Oil sands crude have a abundance of heavy metals, nasty stuff in refining process), and get none of the benefits... You ask how do I know this stuff? I was in Pipeline for 22 years +...

Whether or not his stance was good for America or not isnt the point. He made The Elite mad at him by not working to support it.

...ha ha funny sign.

Paraquat, you don't say what part of the country your from, but I'll bet dollars to donuts that you live in the south.

I see this interesting regional cross-tab in the Gallup daily tracking, where Obama is down six points today: In the North East, it's Obama +6. The Midwest, Obama +5. The West, Obama +6. And the South, Romney +22......Say what??

***********************************************************

The South...The only meaningful contribution they make is college football. I still think we made a mistake taking the South back into the union. I would have hanged every confederate officer. I would have punished the south so much that they would think of hell as a relief. Its a good thing I wasn't alive then. I had a relative (few generations back) take a Confederate bullet for this country. I have no (zero) tolerance for the confederacy, the confederate flag, or any other rebellious / traitorous aspect of the south.

Mind your Uncle Sam, Johnny Reb. The Union Forever.

I was born in CT. Moved to FL until I was 16 or 17 when my mom and I stopped "seeing eye to eye", we'll call it.
I came back up here and have been ever since.

Star my ancestors fought in the Civil War but all they were doing was defending their family and homes. They were too poor to afford slaves. Tha Civil war was just like all the rest of em. Not everyone in the south owned plantations and hundreds of slaves, really just a small percentage. It was the rich man getting the poor man to fight his battle. The poor men like my ancestors fought to defend their homes and family because they were being invaded, I dont know if they believed in slavery or not but they fought to defend what was theirs.

Of course you are right Midnight, especally the part about the rich man getting the poor man to fight his battle, and as is usual it was the politicians and generals who started the war (as it is in most wars), with the little people getting the short end of the stick having to do the fighting and losing most of what they had.

The problem I have with the civil war is that it was a horrific act of treason by the south. It was an ill-conceived and stupid attempt to tear the country in half by declaring war on the USA and in doing so paying an awful price in blood and treasure on both sides.
It was a long time ago, and I didn't mean to offend you or anyone else in my heated rant on that terrible conflict. Please pardon me if I did offend. Huh

I do hope that was sarcastic ...

I'd say the south did contribute sweet tea to the world ...
But they promptly negated that by putting peach in it.

BTW any sweet tea fans want to try this one ... I promise it you tastes a lot ... lot better than it sounds. Sweet tea with kiwi juice or whole slices of kiwi fruit ... I also like raspberry and pineapple in it as well as the old favorite lemon.

Cool.

The sad part of our history is the fact that we are being drawn back into another civil war, it seems we have let ourselves become polarized by the political talking heads of the media and could let ourselves go over the edge of rationality..
