Here's your chance to build a troubleshooting guide.
Follow the sample and add a question and an answer.
If there's a previous solution, link it.

The idea is to build a data base.
this is just the start.
The final will be a list of symptoms at the top
each symptom will be a link to more questions or a solution.

Here's the 1st one...
Question:
my bike won't start, just clicks
starter motor is turning but won't turn the engine over.
Here's what I checked so far
Starter motor works, took it out and it spins when jumped
Battery is new
Answer:
Charge the battery, and get it tested.
Even new batteries come with a bad cell.

Question: I'm having trouble with my tires. I usually don't get much over 5,000 miles, and the tread looks "blocky". I can rub my hand in one direction and they feel smooth but in the other direction my hand jerks along the tread. My bike also seems loose when it's laid over hard in a curve. What's wrong?

Answer: Check your inflation with the guage you always carry with you, or at least have one at your mount up point so you won't forget. Low tires on almost any vehicle will give up traction and lose some "roundness" resulting in a squaring off pattern. A properly inflated tire will also run cooler.
