The infamous Air Mix Screw Adjustment
09/27/12 at 17:19:48

Is it reasonably normal for the air mix screw's best running to be about 3/4 turn out?  I read all of the reviews and most are worried about going out too far.  I started at about 1 1/2 turns out per the stage 1 kit instructions but never noticed the "increase" in RMPs as I went out further.

So, today I finally did what you smart folks repeatedly say to do and screwed it all the way in. I then worked my way out and I start losing RPM right at a full turn so I went back in 1/4 and that seems to be my sweet spot.

My bike is stock with the DynoJet stage 1 kit and 1/3 off the white spacer. That's all.

And that probably explains the plug question I posted the other day....it was apparently running too rich causing the black deposits on the plug (so I was told) and maybe this adjustment leaned it up a little?

Hmmmmm....I may be learning something here  Cheesy
