Pics of Superbar or Tracker handlebars on a Savage
09/25/12 at 18:42:27

So, after debating, I am down to superbars or trackers but wanted to see if anyone had pics of their bikes with these on.  I have read about people making the change, but can't find any pics of a Savage with superbars and the only trcakers I saw were on heavily modifed bobbers.

So, somebody has to have some pics!

Thanks!

I'm not sure if these are the type of bars you're interested in but heres a few pics of them on a savage bobber (also can't find any on a normal savage)

http://bluecollarbobbers.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=144

Those are biltwell bars
http://www.biltwellinc.com/index.php?l=product_detail&p=57

I've seriously JUST purchased a set for my bike (with some new grips) and both the bars and grips are set to be delivered on Thursday.. so hopefully Thursday night or Saturday morning I can get them on the bike and grab a few pics Smiley

Clearush was awesome enough to link these for me though
http://www.bellacorse.com/bcc002-6.htm

about half the price and I think about an inch or two less wide (I think the Biltwells are too wide imo).

My Savage is stock right now so the first mod I do will be these handlebars, so hopefully by this weekend you'll have an idea of what they'd look like if no one else manages to find some pics Smiley

I love the Biltwell Trackers but am debating if they're too far forward.  With the forward controls, I don't want to be in the "tying your shoes" position."

So you bought the Bellacorse superbars?  I'm looking at those and the ones from Lick's Cycles.  Lick's has them in powdercoat black, which I love, but they're for a Harley so dimpled.  The Bellacorse and New Bonneville ones come without dimples, but only in chrome.

Let me know how it changes the riding position and handling.  I've heard somke good remarks on the superbars.  I think the superbars are more functional and the trackers may be more for looks but probably not as enjoyable a ride.

That's pre- a lot of things...   Grin...

Vibration snapped the fender mount,.. and I had to shorten it...
... so, I added the flap...
... then, a ticket got me to move the plate anf tailight...
... and I now have drag bars,...(not as comfy, but looks good)...
... and, of course,... Le' chrome tank...
... just got my new tank decals, and copper pinstripes... to install tomorrow...
Evolution...  it never stops... Huh...

I ordered a set of superbars from Lick's cycles. After doing test measuring, I think the trackers are going to be too low and forward. The bars arrived today and look great. I am installing them Wednesday with a set of vintage football style grips. I have nothing but great things to say about Lick's. I emailed twice with questions and they replied fast. I ordered the bars Thursday night, received them Monday with standard shipping. Solid and look sharp.

I got mine in and installed over the weekend Smiley
They are a ways forward, viewing the speedo with a full face helmet is a giant pain now.. and the bars are VERY close to the tank.  The wires on the throttle actually do hit the tank and the other side is so close I can't squeeze a finger in between.

Personally I love them, they add a pretty significant change to the bike.. I think it handles better, but I also have only been riding cruisers for half a year and rode sport bikes for... ever?  So I'm used to the handlebar style (sort of).

I also got Avon MT grips in, filled the bar with BBs.. and now I experience 0 vibration on my handles until about 75mph Smiley

Idk anyting about Licks.. but if they don't come with weights in the bars.. Idk what the vibration would be like.. I got mine because the stock bars vibration was just unbearable after 15 minutes at 60mph+

Ok, so the change in comfort and handling is great. Much more responsive to little inputs, which was great because I rode to work in a good 15mph cross-wind this morning.

Only issue is that I can't see very well with the stock mirrors on the low bar, but I expected that.  I'm looking at some vintage Suzuki mirrors from the late 70s, or may go bar end mirrors.

I can't get it to upload or insert pics.  Not sure what is up.  I keep getting an error saying the file is too large...but they're under the restrictions.

Hope nobody minds Flickr.  There are a couple "before" pics there too.
