Latony have you ever been blinded by oncoming vehicles with HID/xenon headlights? It's because they just put an HID bulb into an H4 housing, as Versey pointed out and has been discussed earlier in this thread you need a projector lens to disperse and direct the high intensity light effectively. Otherwise you just become one of those people who just blind oncoming traffic, also LEO doesn't like the blinding lights and will gladly write you a citation.
