I had an incident in 1976-77(8th grade) that changed my way of thinking to this day I was at a friend's house and in the spare bedroom was plywood with a variety of odd-looking lights mounted to it I asked his dad about some one, he said, was a lifetime light bulb I said if companies could make a light bulb that wouldn't burn out thats all we would have he said no they are specially made and marketed for those who have lights in hard to reach places or high security areas he also said that manufacturers could make all bulbs this way(thicker filaments) but don't because this would drastically reduce all sales in the future(bulbs are designed to only last a certain short lifetime) I said "but, thats crazy" he said "ya, it is" from that point on I have always questioned everything including religion
