Forget the electricity. It is the original headlight thats the problem. This is for little girls. Buy a new and bigger with new reflector and the problem is solved. When I drive together with others they ask me why it shines so bright. It is only the headlight with its new reflector, not a powerful lightbulb or anything else.

But if you combined a new headlight with an HID your powers of illumination would become unstoppable!

True, the lens and reflector in the savage aren't very good.
I don't know if they're any direct replacements that are better.

A HID unit can be a bulb and ballast and more correctly done with a projector lens. If you're at a place w/inspections, you might want to ask. Most say can't upgrade to HID if it wasn't a factory option. I believe HD has a factory option HID.

Most upgrade units are plug in.
