The savage is nearly the easiest bike I have seen to graft any FE you want ...
I'll try a girder, specifically a durfee type girder FE. Google it. Yes Yonuh Adisi did it, however I suspect the girder will be far too heavy.
I slapped on a twin disk yamaha FE on this savage I got now and have done dirt bike FE's before on a 9 degree raked triple.

Cool.

Justin, how dare you belittle this guy by trying to help him?? You should be ashamed of yourself for not telling him exactly what he wants to hear!!

50$ of what vs 500$ of what? and if your sayin average cost of springer is 500 that would be fine if you can get four times the use out of it compared to the stock, since the cheapest i can get it dun for is 217$ not including new seals.

So what you're saying is you don't have the skills to replace a couple rubber seals but you somehow have the skills to install a completely different front end? Interesting.

I squarely fall into this category ... though I have 5-6 fork seal jobs under my belt, I hate doing those ... so much so I am getting worse @ doing it.
I have several FE swaps including 2 on a savage - and these are not any ordinary FE swaps. stuff thhat is a huge deviation ... and motor swaps and ail swaps and tank swaps ...'

It says that I have way too much respect for a guy with 16000+ posts to be running my mouth at him. Especially when he is trying to help! There is an incredible amount of experience and knowledge among the members of this forum. Listen to what they are saying instead of going all gangsta. Lips Sealed Swapping out your FE to avoid changing seals is pretty drastic. I mean if you really really like the springer and are willing to spend that kind of dough...well, that's cool.

P.S. it's grammar, not grammer Wink

Cool!
I'd love to see some pics/ and write-ups of these projects if you have them, or if you've posted them in the past, maybe links to those threads. I'd love to see what you've done, and it might help this guy out a bit too...
