I've been wanting to do something with the old turn siganal and high beam warning lights since I moved the idiot lights up onto the speedo, but just haven't had the time even though I had all the parts I needed.  Late Sept. I ordered some blue LEDs, resistors and blue plexiglass and I finally had some time to work on it.  It should look nice with all blue on the speedo, tach & voltmeter (I wish the speedo light was easy to swap, it's too bright compaired to the others)  The pic is just using a 9V to mock it up, I need to trim the rubber gasket a bit and then solder all the resistors and conections up.

Wish I'd brought a white face black needle tach, I'm sure they're easier at night.

I find white faced gauges very easy to read day and night, I probably would have gone with teal led lights like on 67/68 mustang gauges if they were easy to swap on the speedo and tach.

keep up the great work. this is giving me ideas on what i want to do with my bike as soon as i finish the oil leak. tearing the motor apart this weekend. would you be interested in making another gauge mount for the gas tank? im not wanting to use a volt meter. i just know im not good with making stuff like that..

What did you have in mind to use on that space if you don't want a voltmeter?    Smiley

in all honesty i want to find a way. ( and i know there is a way) to put a fuel gauge  in that spot. this is my first bike and no gas gauge makes no sence to me.

Ahh that is a huge debate and topic of discussion off and on. There are a bunch of threads you can find, some not so long ago, that touch on all the pros and cons of having and installing a fuel gauge. Basically they almost always come down to the fact that the LS650 is an economy bike and that most people ride it because it is inexpensive to purchase, maintain and ride. The cost of adding a fully functioning fuel gauge basicly doesn't make sense. It's very simple to learn what type of mileage you get and then just keep an eye on miles riden to know that you'll have to gas up soon. Also compared to a car you have a reserve to switch to if you aren't paying attention LOL.  One of the reason's I went with the speedo I have is to have a resetable trip meter, just to know where I'm at with gas  Wink

you know what your right. i'd have to go with a volt meter. i saw that you had a reset able tach. thats what i like the most. be nice to have one. hope you dont mind if i steal the idea. lol. just gotta get that hole filled and find a way to mount them to the stock bars. i dont plan on changing them.

So here is the gas tank console finished till I think of something else   Cheesy

And with the lights on, it's crazy how bright the blue lights show up on pictures. Doesn't matter which camera I use or the cell phone it always looks ten times brighter and harsher then it actually is   Huh
