I didn't do it. www.durablepowdercoaters.com Did the work. Awesome job they did. I like the exhaust black instead of it having parts that are blue and gold.

In case anyone liked it, it holds up rather strong and tough on there.

Now that's different. Not sure if I like it, but nice job. Interesting to see whether it holds up.
And seems they went back to the roots and do the motor all in silver again.

Thanks. I know its different but after I got it back I thought it looked awesome.. To me that is. And I have already put 150 miles on the bike since the powder coating was done I washed it and it is holding up excellent... I didn't really like the bike stock. The stock muffler is a cannon for one. For two, it would backfire so darn loud sometime and the throttle was just so choppy. So I got the rail harley dyna muffler and clamp. Had it powder coated. Added some LED lights underneath. I got the jet kit from lancer and the bike is starting to run and look alot better. (My opinion)

I think that looks sharp with the orange and black.

Looking good! I am a big fan of powder coat. I have had it done to the stock exhaust and the intake of my 1965 thunderbird.

I would love to have the fenders, sides and tank done in it.

Some of those new Harleys with the matte black wrinkle powdercoat look amazing. The finishes, not the bikes.

They charged me $75.00 to do the whole exhaust, clamp and the right foot guard. My opinion I think it does hold in the heat more! It seems to be holding up perfect. Rode for another hour last night and it still looks better then ever..

And thank you to everyone who likes it.

I dont have any experience with the bike, but i am interested in getting one. Are there any noticeable issues with the 2012 model ? and is the backfiring really that bad ? Cause i know in canada if you have any exhaust that isn't stock, they can fine you for it.... the whole rejetting process i have no clue how to do if i ever get the bike and whether it would be possible through a dealer here.....

I usually DON'T like black exhaust; especially since your engine is all chrome and polished aluminum, but I have to say that with the black and orange paint, that looks really good and totally fits your bike...

I've been considering an aluminum finish Powder coat for my exhaust...

Cheers!

Mine is ceramic and I like it a lot.  I don't know what the properties of the powder coat above are.  If it also ceramic, prices have improved considerably, which would be very cool.
