Spamy

I really like your bike.  Great job.  Very creative.

Would you be willing to share the details on your rear wheel rim and spokes?  I would like to do mine like your.

Thanks

Spamy could you snap some pics of the pieces you had to make to mount the tank?

I like #3. Black and red. The bike kinda looks like the old GS1000.

I planned on doing the plain black and gold because I really like the look of it. But after a bunch of hmming an haughing (how the hell is that supposed to be spelled) i decided to go with popular vote and what my wife was pushing for. I have the tail done and am halfway on the tank and fender. Here is a sample.

http://img703.imageshack.us/img703/2999/tailpainted.jpg

Im thinking of slapping a number in the red areas or perhaps make up my own logo design of some type that looks like an old suzuki emblem or something with some text.

Id really like to have a black and yellow old style license plate.  But im not sure if I want to take the chances of picky cops having a problem with it. But I think it would look pretty neat.

What are you going to use for the final coat (topcoat) on the tank?  Will it be gas/ethanol proof?

Anyone know if this is using the gt550 petcock? I have the same tank installed on my bike and am just so seeing if the gt550 petcock will work without any other modifications.

I know this reply is way way late. But unless someone else wonders I used the GT550 petcock. It fits, but was close to the engine so I carved a few mm off the fins to give it better clearance.

Nothing super recent. Ive been busy with other projects. Such as this CB360 and a GT550.  Im gonna be adding black rims to the LS650 in the next few weeks though.

Here are some photos.

Spamy,
Any chance you have any pictures of the bike before the mods but with the tank on? I want to see if it would look weird without any of the cafe mods but with a larger tank. Thanks in advance.

Ive been doing some changes lately to freshen up the bike. So far different speedo and new wheels and tires.

Ive got a new triple coming then Ill be installing that, a new headlight, change the fork seals and boots at that time.  Once I have some time on the triple and speedo Ill post a review in case others want to try the same stuff.
