I have that same odd offset on a set of Firestone forks. No wrinkling like it had hit something but the bike shop said they should be changed out...

Nice bike, I'd ride it. But if HD didn't send it to Wheels Through Time for a proper going over, it's just eye candy... There isn't a current factory trained wrench in their organization worthy of the name mechanic. Unless he's been there since the 50s or early 60s when they still made real motorcycles instead of selling world market cobble jobs.
