I've had many vehicles over the years, but three stand out.
1. 57 F100 shortbed six cylinder with 4 spd compound. It had the custom cab package with all the extra chrome, the big wrap around rear window, and factory spotlight. It started life as an Idaho Power truck, and was well worn by the time I got it. Drove it through college, and sold it about ten years later when I needed money, and it was starting to become a money pit.
2. 65 Chevelle SS with a straight six and three on the tree. In 64-65, the SS was a trim package available with any engine. It had been a granny's car, and only had 89K on it when I bought it in 92. It was a blast on mountain roads, and got decent fuel mileage. I still kick myself for selling that one
3. 86 Mercedes 300CD Turbo Diesel. The 5 cyl turbo was quite a lot faster than the gutless 240, and in a 2 door hard top to boot. Built like a tank, great mileage, and tons of torque. Another one I wish I could have kept.
