Handle Bar Q
07/14/12 at 04:31:40

Thinking of getting some new bars. I see on ebay many different types and styles. One of the things I see that I don't quite understand is many of them advertise as "not dimpled" or "dimpled". Do I need my bars dimpled? I understand the whole drilling the holes part but I am not sure about this whole "dimpled" thing.

Much thanks in advance  Smiley

You want non-dimpled. Savage switch boxes are round inside and the wiring runs out the back of them. Certain Harley switch boxes are slightly elliptical because the wiring runs out between the housing body and the bar surface.

Any 1" non-dimpled bar will fit your bike. Some of the handlebar knurling will likely show, most aftermarket bars are made to fit Harley riser spacing, which is 1" narrower than on our bikes...
