Replace it with a skeebo built box? Smiley Or, find someone selling the parts in the Marketplace.

Please look at:

http://www.ronayers.com/Fiche/TypeID/26/Type/STEERING_STEM/MakeID/2/Make/Suzu...

  • 15      47440-24B00      COVER TOOL HOLDER      $13.61
  • 18      47440-24B10      COVER TOOL HOLDER      $34.67

I'm not sure what the difference is, or if one is the chrome cover and the other the lock housing.

(Update) checking other years, it appears that 47440-24B10 is for the later year Savages, YMMV.

Rest, you can choose what components you need or could do without. This is for my 1987, I think the parts are universal to all years but recommend checking for your year. YMMV  Wink

pretty sure all year tool box covers are the same except for the key.

the B00 or B10 or B20(current) is like a revision code.

So if you can get a B00 for $14... jump on it.
But, probably out of stock.   Grin

Before I found this site, and after exhausting ebay, I paid close to 100 bucks at the stealership for one. I hate having two keys now (I know I could rekey it but time has prevented me)
The real insult was they told me the gasket was separate so that was another 5 dollars and it came with a gasket.

You can have mine for the cost of shipping and a six pack.  It doesnt have the key or the tool kit but its the chrome cover and the black frame underneath. I dont plan on using it.

can't find a single one on eBay, BikeBandit and RonAyers both subbed all years of the covers to the current one:

47440-24B20

with a few dollars price difference between the 2 companies and stealerships.

I cannot find any take-offs from RYCA either.

I'm stuck without a cover with the lock and keys

The toolbox cover is somewhat hard to find, as they don't always latch firmly and they do fall off.  Generally once you lose one, your are a lot more careful to be sure it is latched properly on the next one.

When they come up for sale - they are snapped up fast.  And used ones in good condition are hard to find.  If they sit outside and get rained on - or the owner washes the bike and doesn't go for a ride to dry things out - water sits on the inside bottom and they rust quickly.  When folks remove them to access the tool kit or battery - they often place them on the concrete shiny side down....and the chrome gets scratched.

If you have a nice bike and want a nice cover, and are in a hurry to replace it - most likely buying a new one is your best bet.

If you have 6 months or a year to wait, and are quick to see the listing in the Marketplace - occasionally once becomes available when somebody is building a Bobber or Cafe' bike.
