BTW, worcestershire is pronounced WOOS te sher,

or, in wikipedia: WUUS-tər-shər

They're both wrong.

As Worcester is an English city, and the main city in its "shire" (=region), the english pronounciation is...

"Wooster" for the city (Woosta only in London), "Woosta-shar" for both the Shire and the sauce.

Y'all have a problem with English cities, and I can't blame you.

Canterbury (as in, the Archbishop of...) is "Cānter-b'ree", not "Canter-berry".

As for the grammar, I got a measly 86%.
Mixed up my further and farther, and my different "to" with "from"... Tongue

Got that, Gyro.

I already knew that names, just like drinks, change as they go acrtoss the ocean.

The Imperial Gallon being 4.4 liters, the US gallon being 3.8 liters...
It's a good thing the land mile didn't get any shorter as well !  Grin

By the way, can anyone explain why there's a "Newark" just across the river from "New York"? Or was that due to pronounciation as well ?  Roll Eyes
