I have a very large piece of sheepskin that was used as a wheelchair pad. I am thinking of carving it up and using it on my Savage seat. I would think it needs to be removable for cleaning. My thoughts are to attach elastic straps to it, remove the seat and stick it on, then reattach the seat. Does this sound feasible? Any other ideas to attach it? Is it a bad idea?

Elastic will stretch & it will shift around. You can get a tarp/sail mender type of sewing tool from Harbor Freight, stitch straps on it, put snaps on them & rivet snaps under the seat.

Mite wanna work some mink oil into it & let it sit a day or so, then stretch it some to make sure its not gonna change sizes after it gets used some,
