I have an engine noise that seems to have gotten louder. I don't hear it on the right side but that just may be because of the exhaust. My bike has 52xx miles on it. It is a 2002. Any thing to be concerned about?

So the rattle is normal? Maybe I just never noticed before.

The video sounds more like a rock tumbler than a Savage engine...
No idea... Don't know if that accurately represents the noise in person,.. but I'd cr@p my pants if my bike sounded like that video...
Have you checked the cam-chain?...

No, I haven't checked anything. I didn't think that should be an issue at 5000 miles. I am sure the video is not a true representation. They never were for my exhaust sounds either. I guess I am gonna drive to the bike shop and ask them to give it a listen.

I just get a big black square, I cant get anything to play.,.
I shook Bob Cranes hand at the Front Page in New Orleans in 77 or 78.
I saw him coming down the aisl & turned my back, waiting till he got close & turned & said
Booob! Like I knew him, he turned & stuck his hand out & I shook it, Then, he saw he'd been had & pulled away,, I Laffed..

I'd have the covers off before I drove it anywhere.
clutch cover 1st of course.
I had to double click a couple of times to get it to work.

Neither one of the "links" for the "noise" works.. I'm dieing to hear it though... maybe it's the some "noise" I have and it's just "normal"? Who knows, I've done so much tinkering mine is probably worse off

It's a 3.7MB .wmv file so it may take time to buffer or download depending on your connection speed.

I stopped to see my scooter tech. He says it is the valves and it is not abnormal. When I get my bike inspected in September, they will be adjusted at that time.
