HOWEVER

"81" is the Hells' Angels other name, for "H" and "A" are the 8th and 1st letters of the alphabet.



Their logo is a winged skull or winged deathshead.



They're very jelaous of their logos, and WILL defend them.

If any HAs walk past and see a winged "81" painted on that bike, someone may well need a new bike...

They look fine except for the blue.

So Hells Angels have a monopoly on on letter, numbers, wings, and skulls. Seems like a dumb reason to spend time in prison over some numbers.

So my only two choices are keep the numbers because it was the year my wife was born and carry a gun.

or

Be intimidated by a gang and lose the number.

Tough choice.

Is there some number guide so I can know what numbers won't offend someone?

There's plenty of legal precedents on the names, numbers and logos being intellectual property of the Hells Angels.
They sued big money fashion firms and won in court, what's to make you think you can talk yourself out of an argument?
