There is a POW MIA decal for the tank, but I want to paint the tank again after the riding season ends.Ex military, so the color is special to me. Should have black alloy rims for next season. I just ran out of time for mods this season. Thanks for the look.

Looks good, Jim. Have you thot about a First Cav decal on the tank?
Maybe some ammo cans for it?

Yes I though about ammo cans. could happen after the riding season ends. I've got some 30 cal. and some 50cal. cans. thanks for the comment. No 1st Cal. decals, will be Air Force that's where I spent my military career and I have a son in there now. Got to support your branch of the military, THAT'S THE UNWRITTEN LAW.

LOVE the military look! Well done! Ammo can panniers and military graphic on the tank would set 'er off! Cool

A leather scabbard & a 12 gauge down the front forks would look good to me,

Nice looking bike Jimmer!

Just a sugestion that might look cool with the military style and coloring, painted rivets on the lip along the bottom of the tank. Take the color of the bike and mix it with a bit of darker color and just stamp some on uniformly around the lip with something round like a nail head to make it look like rivets  Cheesy

Pencil eraser? Maybe do a little shaping on it, put it in a drill & work a low spot just outside of center?

Cool. Personally I'd buy some proper saddle bag brackets and get those things on there straight and off the bike. Too me nothing looks worse than bags hanging off a bike like an old saggy bra, yet that's how most guys do it. Brackets are cheap.

The bike has brackets on. I just sit the bags on for the picture. They were on backwards. Put on right they look good. Had those bags for almost twenty years. they hold some sentimental value, so I'll keep using them until they completely fall apart. thanks for your input though.

They are sweet for sure. Do they have hard backs? I bet you could reinforce them and hang them pretty easily. Then you can get the lines perfect and get rid of the strap

My old rebels soft bags i converted pretty easily

Looks great though otherwise.

Nice work, Jimmer.  Air Force retired here, too.

How about military aircraft markings, decals, etc.?   Would have to be subtle to not dork it up a lot, but it wouldn't take much (especially with 50 cal cans) to give it an air force utility vehicle look.

Thanks for the comments. Going to have some time for more up grades. I some how lost lubricant to the cylinder head. The head top looks like the polished cam journals had a meltdown. Trying to find a used cylinder head, they want 7 to 9 hundred dollars for the head and about 150.00 for a cam, new. Need to check oil pump also. hope to have i back before to long. I have family the lives between Marietta and Dallas Ga. Always liked that area, Like my home now, pickup trucks and gun racks. Life don't get much better, hey hey Rednecks rule!

what kind of exhaust is that?  Straight pipes?  Did you have it made or buy it like that?

Bosgarage
I had the pipe made, 2 inch ID stainless steel exhaust tubing, with a 2inch OD X 10inch Harley baffle inserted about 3 inches into the pipe
