I lowered my fender today

I really like the look! I tried to use 1" spacers but couldn't stop the bolts from some serious binding. Cut 'em down 'til they fit. I don't know the exact measurement but more than 3/4" and less than 1".

Careful Greg,.. you may find yourself slowing down very suddenly on bumps...
Do some slow speed tests in and out of your driveway or something...

Hope it's okay,.. looks nice.  But, make sure it clears... Wink..

So far so good. Unless hitting the tire feels the same as bottoming out the shocks, then I don't really know. I have bottomed out the shocks since lowering it and it seems OK.

This is just a cell phone shot. I will take some nicer photos when I get the rear fender cleaned up.

If that was sans taillight, indicators and trim and I bet it would look beautiful. It even has me thinking, I might just do that myself.

*edit*

Mind you that wasn't done with photoshop, this was just cut-n-paste and retouching pixel-by-pixel in MS Paint and is pretty difficult so please don't ask me to do anything else. I don't have the first idea how to use photoshop but I've been using MS Paint since Windows 3.1 for DOS.

The top mounted light and indicators will be changed in the near future. I will keep the rails (I think). I have plans for a drivers backrest and would like to utilize them for that.

easy enough, ditch the license plate light and reflectors if you got 'em and mount a cat eye over the plate.

I have been looking at the cat eye lights for some time now. I will have to jump on it soon!

The cateye light fits in there pretty well. Here's a shot from diamond jim on his setup (he also had his fender lowered):

Yeah, I saw those. I am wondering if a combo tail/brake/turn signal cats eye would pass inspection in PA?

Somehow the title of this thread seems like it ought to be a country & western song.   You might want to give that some thought, Greg.

Anyway, what kind of muffler do you have?   That adds a nice touch.

That's my Dyna muffler. The Thrush glasspack burned out in a week. I was running way too lean, I think, and making really high heat. Either that, or automotive mufflers can't stand the heat of a scooter. Anyhow, I picked up a universal heat shield as I was not happy with the factory one on there with the Dyna.

Could you copy/paste some hot scooter trash on there for me? Smiley
