What do you guys recommend for plugging the vaccuum port on the carb?

That port is for providing vacuum, not fresh air to the intake.

If you don't plug it, it will throw off your jetting.

anything, rtv on a screw, rubber caps, wooden stake, yada yada.

Rubber caps I used, kept disintegrating... I found a tapered screw that threaded in snug, and covered it with a rubber cap...
...for pretty... Huh...

I've been an auto tech for 26 years. I have several of those little rubber caps that come on wheel cylinder bleeder screws. They fit perfectly on the carb.

Here's what's plugging that vacuum port on my bike:

I squirted some RTV into the tube before folding it.  The tube was the OEM vacuum tube.  Been on there for several years now....didn't cost hardly anything (just whatever a small blob of RTV and two small zip ties cost).

IHTH!

I recently did the Raptor Petcock and it works great, I bought mine from PowerSportsPlus.com for around $19 Plus shipping. I used a vaccum cap you can get at any parts store.  Pat
