I read an article in Walnecks Classic Cycle Trader magazine today; July 2012 issue. The guy who created this place sounds like the kind of motorcycle person I would like to spend time with. He had been involved with bikes for a looooong time. He is a trained engineer. He is skilled in every aspect of motorcycle maintenance, repair & restoration.
He is Allen Johncock; originally from Australia.
An amazing man.

You can see his shop through some windows too.. If ya'll ever come over this a way for a ride, let me know. I know all the back roads, hangouts, cool scenery, etc. OH, and you have to ride the Three Twisted Sisters.. of course.

There are some excellent areas for riding. At least there used to be. I suspect some aren't as nice any longer but I know there are still a lot. I need to get back down there on a bike sometime. The last several times have been by car with family for reunions, weddings, funerals, and such.

That seems a shame, especially when I compare my memories of San Antonio with my current knowledge of Dallas. Maybe it's changed and maybe it's just the nostalgia effect but I have some fond memories of growing up in Converse.

A hundred years ago the world was still a beautiful place and still is. You just have to selective like bills memory.
