I saw the following sizes listed 1 5/8, 1 3/4, and 2 inches. Does someone have a REAL definitive pipe size for fitting to a new muffler, or do I need to remove it and measure?

The definitive answer is none of the above. I believe it is metric. It is very close to 1 11/16OD of the header pipe. I used a 1 3/4ID muffler with a tin can spacer/gasket thing.

Reply #2 - 06/07/12 at 20:35:03 When I measured the end my header pipe for the install of a Dyna muffler, it was 1.68 inches with a digital caliper. The inside diameter of my Dyna muff was 1.75 inches. Good luck JohnnyCat
