No, it's a UAZ (russian 4x4 van) and the pic was shot either in Russia or the Ukraine.

It's OK, no worse than those idiots with maltese cross mirrors and rear lights...

Does anybody actually KNOW what the maltese cross means ?  Huh

You wouldn't sport it if you did...

Most of the current crop of riders that sport it don't even know how it came to be found on bikes. Let alone any history of the emblem itself.

Bikers after WW2 picked it up for its shock value. Having just beat the tar out of Germany and not fitting in to post-war US socety, they grabbed an emblem held in high regard in the Reich. The Iron Cross, which had actually been used in the German Army long before the 3rd Reich came to be. But of course, they glommed onto the latest version. The few who truly wanted the shock value at least used a depiction of the Knight's Cross. The brave ones sported a Black Cross (swastika) or Blood Flag (common flag of the 3rd Reich).

The current crop of people using it? Mostly sheeple who saw it in old B cheese biker movies and want to be "cool".

Although I did get one from the Bikers of Newfoundland from PerrydaSavage... It's on one of my antique trucks, the one I haul dead motorcycles with.

Only when both you and the moose are sober.

Else, you battle it out with a bear...  Cheesy

Or... the bear riding your bike away... Wink
