Exhaust leaks repair? Or solution to this?
06/04/12 at 08:31:11

Is there any way to repair exhaust leaks or is there another solution to over come the exhaust leak?

My problem I have is that there is an exhaust leak from the cat. converter of the stock pipe. I started noticing it about a few thousand miles back but it started bothering me as of today

Yep, I had this hole for a while now. The hole seems like its coming from the fixed hole on the cat. converter under the heat shield

savage doesn't have a cat. converter.
That bulbous thing down there is an anchor pretending to be a muffler.

You may need to tighten up the muffler clamp.
But there have been cases where the muff has rusted thru.
Usually, an older model though.

What you need is a screw and some high heat loctite.
