oil leak from cylinder head gasket
05/21/12 at 12:10:55

bought the bike with a slight oil leak from the cylinder head gasket, rode it for alil while and decided to change the gasket. this makes the 2nd time ive done the gasket change, first time i used high temp copper sealant and both sides of the metal gasket, and the 2nd time i tried i used red rtv silicone sealant.

still leaking oil. my gasket surfaces look smooth and i used a laser to check for wrapping, looked good from what my eye could see.

is there a way to keep the oil in the motor and not on my driveway, other driveways, my pants, shoes, bike......

That's a shame you did all that work replacing the head gasket when the problem is probably the infamous head plug leak.. see the tech section for how to fix that..

It looks so much like a head gasket leak, but it almost never is,,
