Howdy all.

New to the forum as well as the wonderful Savage.   I'm in the process of buying a 1997 with just a tad over 8500 miles on it.  Bike is in wonderful condition and rides very well.  It already has a Jardine muffler on it as well.

I would love to have some suggestions on some of the first things that I should do to it.   I'm thinking a set of Routy's 6" forward controls for sure as I'm 6'1".  Not real sure what else to start looking at doing though for starters.  I also have a ram mount en-route to mount my cell for use as a GPS based speedo since I've read on here that the savage's speedo is off from the factory.

Any and all suggestions would be appreciated.
