Can't register
05/14/12 at 18:20:15

A couple of friends of mine (both female) have heard from other sources that the Savage is a good bike for a female to start with.  One rides on the back of a larger Suzuki boulevard with her hubby, and the other has not ridden much at all, methinks. One is in FL and one is in MI.

Anyway, they both tried to register (one a few weeks ago, and one yesterday) but couldn't get past the screen where you have to click on a button that says you agree with the policies or some such.  They try to click the button but nothing happens.

have you heard of a problem like this before?

It took me about a month to be approved.  I was originally having problems even getting my registration through, as it kept telling me (I don't quite remember the exact language) that I need to agree to terms and conditions, and I kept checking that I did, and it would say I didn't.  After I finally registered it took forever to get approved and be able to post.  I sent countless emails to john@suzukisavage.com, but never got a response.  I was in a hurry as I was trying to buy a bike in the marketplace.  I ended up sleuthing my way around the internet and contacting the owner through another site.

It was a very frustrating experience to say the least.

Dutch82, About your statement, "it kept telling me (I don't quite remember the exact language) that I need to agree to terms and conditions, and I kept checking that I did, and it would say I didn't." how did you finally overcome that obstacle?  This sounds just like what is happening to these two friends.

See if you can register from where you're at (with the name that the friend wants) then email them the password..  just an idea.

Nothing I tried seemed to work.  I tried from my computer, work computer, Kindle Fire, ipad and I tried different browsers (Chrome, IE and Safari), and kept having the same problem.  I would try about every other day to see if the problem was resolved, and finally one day it just worked.

Good idea.  I'll try that.

One thought, though, I'll have to use my email to register with a different username and password.  If this works, can they just get into the new profile and change the email to their own?

(what if I can't register from here again??!!!!!)

Your friend(s) should be able to get in and change their email address once the account is established.  You don't have to use the same email that you used to create Gyrobob.  You can use a disposable mailinator address, see mailinator.com.

I have heard that there may be a restriction, as in, you may not be able to make two accounts from the same IP address (?)  Anyway, if you run into trouble, PM me a proposed account to try to make, and I'll try it from here, then if successful will send you a password for it.
