I'm a new member from London Ontario. Been visiting this site for a year or two. I enjoy the discussions and the friendly atmospere. The simplicity of the S40 and the support available on this site moved me to sign the papers for a 2007 S40.
 PO has removed the idle mixture plug so i'm hoping the other carb improvements have been done as well.
     I have to safety and sell my '85 Virago 500 before I can bring the S40 home from Inglis Cycle here in London. Only have space for one bike.

      It has 8,000 mls/13,000 kms. Thats a good idea for contacting privious owner. I'll need to ask my sales person if he would do that; give me the contact info.

     Thanks, I'll do that. As well I should check the cam chain tentioner.  I won't be picking up the bike for a week or so but when I do what noise should I expect to hear if cam chain tentioner needs attention? Or should I just check it anyhow?

had to change mine at 10k.. thats what the odometer claims at least
