For the NC Flyscreen users: There are two models listed on
their site
. Is the Flyscreen for Cruisers is the model best suited for our bikes?

for flyscreen, there's only lite or dark, did you look up Suzuki S40?

From what I've heard, they do very little to deflect any substantial amount of air, too. More for looks I think, like the racing fairings that fit around the headlight.

Searching around I found mine here for $99 with pretty reasonable shipping as long as you like clear.

They don't deflect much wind but they can keep the wind pressure off your chest at highway speeds.

If you want a sail for your bike then get one.
I'm pretty much the only sail my bike needs.
A little wind deflected off me chest up to 70 is all I ask.
After that, I can lean over.

I put one on my bike a couple of weeks ago, and am impressed. I don't feel the fatigue when riding long distances at 80mph on the freeway, and bugs are deflected up and over my faceshield. Motorcycle superstore did have them in smoke for $143 with free shipping. That's an awesome deal, though, on the clear!

As I see it on the link I provided, they have two models, each available in clear or dark. One model mounts to the fork, the other to the headlight mount. I didn't see any facility to search for particular bike models on the National site.

Good find! That site listed the S40 as supported by the product, so I ordered one. Can't wait for the next highway ride once I've got the screen installed!

Had a Nat Cycle Flyscreen on both my '03 Savage and my '05 S40 ... great little shield! Fit perfectly, looked fantastic and as previously pointed out, relieved the wind pressure on my chest and upper arms and when adjusted, caught most flying bugs in the slipstream, tossing 'em up and over my head!
Well worth the 90-odd bucks I paid for it on Flea Bay!

Does the mounting hardware come with it for the price? Is the fork mount best for S40?

Yes it comes with mounting hardware, took about 2 weeks to actually get it.

I know this is an old posting, but I just transferred my Fly Screen from the Honda to the 2013 S40. It works as advertised and I can feel the difference now that cold weather has come to North Texas.
I have the fork mounted model and there is plenty of adjustment to get it in the exact position that you want it.
Most windshields are best installed at the same angle as the forks on the motorcycle. With the Fly Screen it is best installed almost vertical if you want the best function in deflecting wind and bugs.
