A gym bag, you remember them, 18 to 24 inches long,,Takes some doing, but heres what I did,, I sewed a flap with velcro on one end, it wraps & straps to the "handle" acroiss the seat. I sewed "D" rings on it & worked parachute cord under the seat, to tie it down. I used an upholstery machine & sewed a piece of panelling to the bottom & glued another inside, so it can stick over the end of the seat. When not in use, it folds flat. With some parachute cord & a bungee or 2, it can be filled & things strapped to it,you wouldnt believe all the stuff Ive carried..

Learnig a bowline is easy & very handy, I can teach it the fastest way to tie it,if you can make a slip knot, you can tie a bowline.

Yep, the bungy net is pretty cool and useful...  but I'm starting to think mine may have failed me.  I rode to work one day and it was cold.  Heavy jacket and chaps cold.  But when I went home, it was warm enough to use lighter jacket and not wear the chaps.  Put the chaps in the saddlebag, which were pretty full, and I bungy-netted my jacket to my back seat.  Now I can't find my leather jacket anywhere!  And I sure as dickens can't remember whether I got it off the bike when I got home or not!    

That missing jacket is a bummer...I once used one of those bungee nets from HF to haul home 6 inflatable sprinkler toys...was like a backrest that went to the middle of my back

yep i bungee net myself on the new bike - i miss the bags - between the back pack and the net i can carry right much stuff - ex: last night stopped at store got 2 large bags of frozen chicken tenders, 2 bottles of salad dressing & bbq sauce, a small jar of horseradish, box of shaken bake, container of almonds, head of cabbage the cabbage went under the net....two days ago - 1/2 gal of ice cream, box of cheeze-its and box of ice cream cones under the net - not wearing the back pack.........gal of milk might be a challenge wiothout the back pack top heavy might sldie around too much depending on far/fast/aggressive you ride.

one option are these really cool "throwover" bags, I picked these up at a thrift store for 5.00 !,  there waterproof tourmasters, when u think your going to need storage just throw um on, theres other manufacturers out there. I like the looks of my bike without bags but asometimes would like to go to the store on it for a few things, these worked out great and takes 2 minutes to hook um up
