Posts: 2206	Re: Cell phone mount Reply #30 - 05/05/12 at 04:29:56 I made it out of some scrap 1/2" aluminum with some stainless bolts, and old Pelican case, and a piece of lexan. 1/2" was overkill but it allowed me to conceal the bolts holding it together on the bars. The case itself is secured to the aluminum with some flat head screws. --Steve

I ended up with the one pictured below. It wasn't inexpensive, but it is very well made. My phone overheated in in on the 100* days though. So now I just keep my GPS in it. The GPS works better than the navigation app on the phone anyway and it is easier to read.
