These look pretty slick.
If only I could justify buying another savage....

Love 'em both! Only thing I'd change would be to put a low exhaust on the Bobber.

I would like a low, more stock like shaped header as an option for the shorty one.
I know the boys must be really busy so can understand they cannot have everything all at once.
I was trying to have a prototype header made but the dude was too involved in bigger projects, and despite a number of promises he was not able to produce anything at all so I pulled my order.
I'm still looking for a good capable source.

From the looks of the drawing, I should think it wouldn't be any big deal to use the stock header on that bobber; unless the bolt-on hardtail frame somehow interferes?
Personally, I'd take that shorty header, extend it just slightly, and turn the muffler back and downward maybe 30 degrees?
Still, I'd much rather have the tracker; that's more my speed. Can't see anything there I'd change at all, but I'm sure I would once I got into it...

Really like the look of the bolt on hardtail for the bobber. I wonder what that part of the kit will run by itself?
Voodooo makes several frames for our bikes and XS650 bikes and they now have a bolt on hardtail for the XS, so I wonder when they will have a bolt on hardtail for the LS?
Could be some good competition for the bolt on hardtail bobber market!
Where's my popcorn so I can sit back and enjoy?

voodoo doesnt have any "bolt-on" or "weld-on" they do however sell the whole frame for the ls650 ranging from 650-3500, from just a frame to a full complete bike.

Hi I'm new to the forum and joined to get more info on the mechanicals and running of the savage just for a bobber project. I saw the RYCA bobber on Jay Leno's youtube channel when they were showing him the CS-1. If you fastforward to 5:10 they are doing a shop tour and have some great footage of the bobber. I emailed them and got a prompt response to my questions. The hardtail bolt on adds 4.5" to the wheelbase which I think really looks good. The lower part of the hardtail bolts to the lower frame and gets in the way of the regular path of the muffler, which is why I think they have the hi mount exhaust. I am really looking forward to seeing the finished product.

The bobber is what i am going for minus the rigid frame. Looking into an extended swingarm. VoodooVintage is taking a gander at what it would take to extend. I agree with the lower pipes.

Love the bobber look!, someday will be starting my project, from the drawing I think I will like little higher handlebars and suspension (as the roads here suck a...........s)
